Wolfieboy
Hello everybody, I'm trying out the trial version of Leadwerks 3 to see if it suits my needs. The game I want to develop has a team of four people, so I would like to be able to share projects over Skype to keep eachother up to date. We tried the project manager option, but we found that after I unpacked the folder that my partner created with his Leadwerks 3 trial into my Leadwerks >> Projects folder, the project manager would not recognize it. We tried searching for a sollution to this, but we couldn't find any. Since teamwork is very crucial for our project, I would like to know the most efficient method of sharing our project using Leadwerks. I will be waiting for your reply! Josh
Since the release of the demo, we've added an import option in the project manager, for exactly this. Together with SVN or Dropbox, this makes it easy for teams to work together. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Wolfieboy
Thanks for the quick reply! Is this function going to get updated into the trial version? I would like to get familiar with these aspects before deciding on a purchase.
Josh
There are no plans to put out a new trial for version 3.0. You can add a project by modifying the editor's config file (Leadwerks/Editor/Leadwerks.cfg) or you can create a new project with the same name and type and copy the contents of your project in. This is the same thing the import option in the full version does, it's just not as convenient. Wolfieboy
I see, I didn't think about that. Thanks for your time!
Josh
Sure, you should be able to find the line that lists your projects, but just let me know if you can't.
