Rick Posted October 16, 2013 Share Posted October 16, 2013 I'm using my MacBookAir under Windows 8. I've seen a few other posts about this and I'm experiencing the same thing. If I drag and drop the file into the editor nothing happens. If I copy the fbx to the folder in windows explorer then it gets converted to mdl. Same thing with textures. It takes so many more steps to import textures separately, convert them to materials and apply them them manually... When you release the file onto the Window, does the program log say anything? Did the file actually copy to the directory? If it fails an error will be displayed saying it could not copy the file, so it sounds like the event isn't even being fired. Windows 8 (64-Bit) Intel i7 Multi-Monitor Setup both running on 1080 x 1920 Edit: I tried the solution suggested solution (http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/nipuntomar/drag-drop-not-working-in-windows-8/) with no success. If that model doesn't show a thumbnail please file a report, but it doesn't look like anything except it loads the model to generate a new thumbnail image.
