YouGroove
Just curious : how will work LE 3.0 updates for people not updating (or updating later ). Will serious physics and other bugs fix beeing reported into 3.0 updater ? Will some general editor improvments beeing reported into 3.0 ? Or must people be forced to update ? MexSource
I think you don't have to update If you not update i think you will get absolutely no updates - Mex Quote C++ :
YouGroove
ok , so when 3.1 will be out, you'll have to buy 3.1 to have new bug corrections like physics bugs, lua bugs or editor bugs. Quote Stop toying and make games
gamecreator
There was nothing announced about support for 3.0 being discontinued that I saw. And considering that 3.1 only adds new features, I don't see why fixes for 3.1 wouldn't also fix 3.0.
Josh
A final build of version 3.0 will be provided. 3.1 and 3.0 compile off the same source, using some macros to switch between versions. YouGroove
That's confusing. 3.0 final build : this means a last build before beeing discontinued so, and after tha final build of 3.0 we'll have to upgrade to have new bug fixes.. bandrewk
That's confusing. 3.0 final build : this means a last build before beeing discontinued so, and after tha final build of 3.0 we'll have to upgrade to have new bug fixes.. Final build usually means that no more features will be added. As Josh said, both compile of the same source, from that you can deduce that there will be bug fixes in the future. gamecreator
At this point we're just guessing. Josh, could you please clarify: Will there continue to be regular bug fixes and/or updates for 3.0 in 2013? If not, when do you expect to release the final build? Josh
I expect to release a final build within a week. If there are major bug fixes needed, those can continue being addressed but in general I want to focus on 3.1 once it's out.
