aarrowh
I'm very interested in pre-ordering LE 3.1, but I've noticed that the mobile plugins are no longer for sale in the store. Does this mean that they are no longer being offered? Or are they included in the 3.1 purchase. The mobile plugins being available in any capacity is very important to me. Josh
Leadwerks 3.1 is being rolled out first with the Indie Edition on Steam, because this is the easiest to do. The standard version on Windows and Linux will be released next, followed by Mac, iOS, and Android, at which time the mobile add-ons will be available in the store. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Benji385
Hey, Josh - I thought that the mobile plugins were going to be a free addition to leadwerks 3.1? At-least that is what I thought when I read this blog - Correct me if I am wrong.
Josh
People who already own the mobile add-ons will not be charged an upgrade fee for mobile in 3.1. Sorry if that wasn't worded clearly. 2 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Josh
It depends on the reward chosen, but yes, some of them do. This is detailed on the campaign page on KS. aarrowh
Awesome, I'll definitely be pre-ordering! I assume yes, but just to make sure.. Projects started on the Steam version will be transferable to the standard Windows/Mac/Linux on release correct?
Rick
For Lua, I would say yes based on what Josh has said before. However it might not go the other way depending on what you are doing inside Lua. If you load DLL's to do various things in your Windows Lua game, for example, you can't load DLL's in the Steam edition so it won't work. Just something to be aware of. Why load DLL's you might ask? The ability to do networking would be a reason.
Josh
I'm actually going to allow unsafe libraries, DLLs, etc. with the Steam Lua implementation. 2 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. aarrowh
I cannot resist. Take my money. *edit* Does this give me access to 3.0 until 3.1 is available? Already pre-ordered, but I would like to start toying with it asap
lounges
Will the steam edition be able to add the mobile plugins? Additionally is there an estimate on when the iOS and Android bits will be ready to ship?
Admin
If there is significant demand for it, we will add mobile support on Steam.
Benji385
If there is significant demand for it, we will add mobile support on Steam. Hey, How much demand are we talking? I have seen a request for this on the steam forums a few times. PS. Sorry for the bump.
