meteorstorm
Looking at the indie version, ( I finally got it to work by a combination of updating my drivers and setting up a profile. The old drivers I had from HP did not have a way to set up profiles per application. ) I realized that I would be much happier with the C++ version. I have been a C++ and C# programmer for many years now and I feel most comfortable in that environment. I am sure that lua is more than capable of handling my needs but i am really attracted to the power of C++. Is there any way right now for me to upgrade to that version by paying the difference or something?
Admin
The standard version with C++ support is not available yet. FYI, there was a small patch that fixed it so the editor would preferentially choose the discrete card when an Intel/Nvidia combo was in use. Was your card an ATI model? If the Steam system allows upgrades of this nature, then an upgrade to the standard edition will be available on Steam when it is ready. I think this can be done on Steam, I just don't know for sure because I haven't tried it yet.
meteorstorm
Yes, my system has two Ati GPUs. One is a low power HD4250 and the other one is the high performance HD6650. Thanks for the info and I will be waiting for the C++ version. In the meantime it will be good to learn lua.
