GoodGoneBadPictures
Hi guys! Hope this isn't in the wrong section. I'm very new to game dev, but it is a long term goal of mine, and my planned career. However, for the mean time, I thought I would try learning and using Leadwerks, since I saw it on steam. I thought it was great and very easy to use, but was wondering if there was a place I could get royalty free assets for it, or a good way to make my own assets? Thanks for your help. nate066
Making assets will require skill and alot of free time. But you could try turbosquid for free models and http://tf3dm.com/ You can also ask a community members, like me, to create assets. also check the asset store http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/files/

Tim Shea
Since you are just starting out, an excellent option would be to download Blender and work through (at least a few) basic modeling, texturing, animating, and exporting tutorials. 3D game art is a huge subject, but even if you plan to focus on game design or technical development, having a reasonable understanding of the asset creation process can be tremendously useful. Plus, you might produce some placeholder-quality assets in the process. Edit: And it's pretty fun in its own right!
