bandrewk
Hello, we have found a bug while importing .fbx files into Leadwerks. Sometimes, for whatever reason, they won't be converted to .mdl files. The editor is not showing any error, quite the contrary, it is logging that the conversion has completed successfully: Converting "models\petrol station\roof.fbx"... Input: C:/Users/x/Desktop/Environment/Environment/Models/Petrol Station/roof.fbx Output: C:/Users/x/Desktop/Environment/Environment/Models/Petrol Station/roof.mdl FBX: Initializing scene... FBX: File version: 6.1.0 FBX: Importing scene... The roof.mdl is not existent. I attached the .fbx that is causing this bug. Thank you. roof.zip

Roland
UU3D refused to load you roof. But C4D did accept it. Exported to fbx again. Now it loads in LE roof-fixed.zip Roland Strålberg Website: https://rstralberg.com
bandrewk
It's exported from blender. Ex- and importing the .fbx through various programs can't be a solution to this.

Rick
@cassius What fbx version and settings do you use to export fbx from UU3D? I've had issues with it. Can you show an example of the export dialog box that works for you?
YouGroove
Ok when importing i have FBX2MDL.Exe that is crashing only. So convertion fails. Should be stiked or pinned somewher, i repost a working setting for static meshes from Blender to FBX ; Alos i recommend using Blender 2.68 and above (even if older versions works well). @bandrewk : Could you post your blender file please ? 1 Stop toying and make games
cassius
Rick. When expoting fbx from uu3d I just unticked animation and left the rest at default values. It wasn;t a character though. With character models I convert to gmf. amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10 Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++
