YouGroove
Well actually if any of us would distribute some game they would have just published with no encryption to make some exec and encrypted ressources files, what LE3 don't have in fact : We give to players LE3 engine dev kit no ? If the game is made in Lua , they simply have access to Lua and mkae their own App.lua and own Lua scripts, as publishing shows all : -ressources -Lua files Indeed tehy won't be able to modify the map file or models shaders/textures or import new models. So it is normal ? It is simply for be able to "MOD" a game like changing Lua scripts for example ? Quote Stop toying and make games
Frenchgui
Lua files can be compiled in luac format. About Mdl and tex files, you're right , this is a trouble.
Josh
I wouldn't worry about it quite yet. Some additional encryption is planned to be added later on, so it is likely to be done before any major titles are released. You are free to release games right now without a problem. YouGroove
Ok thanks, my game is in the works as sen on Showcase, but even for some demo i would not want to distribute code visible or visible ressources.
