I´m thinking about to buy Axis Game Factory to create levels for leadwerks. I´m just a little bit scared about that I cant import my levels into leadwerks and if it looks like in the axis game factory editor, because I can create also lights and add e.g. tree models.

 

anyone have a clue if I can use this with leadwerks?

It doesn´t work... why? mhmmm It works... why?

I don't think it is going to be that easy with just an export button from Axis game factory. All the models that are build are stored as prefabs rather then fbx or obj. meaning that for every save type you would have to write your own converter. That is if you can the save files are open and not encrypted.

 

Then there is the terrain, if you can export it as a raw file for the heightmap, you also need to see if you can export the texture mapping information.

 

As for lights and other special object, this is not something that is instantly compatible with Leadwerks.

Axis Factory is made with Unity, that's why.

 

Anyway, in LE3 you can do all sculpting Axis Factory do, what lacks are grass and trees in Leadwerks 3.

You could not import trees and grass in LE3 as they would become static models all displayed st same time without any management system behind.

So for terrain i don't see the interest ? If you really need grass and trees in LE3 you just have to wait until system is made.

 

Apprt from that , AGK is just a compilation of models you assemble to make your houses for example.

 

Instead of putting money on AGK , just buy some cheap modular houses kit , lot more interesting.
