Could be great for rocks models or simple models you just need to put textures without needing to do UVmapping. Or user made terrain made using a scupted model, and triplanar would avoid all texture stretching issues. Another triplanar in action : Without making any UV mapping , it's great. Textures will always adapt to your model sctructure and hwo it is oriented , to put right textures on top and sides. Some Unity game , but this ddon't matters as the purpose is to show a video where people explain the shader really well : Look at 1:15 And triplanar is not dependent on engine, as this is a shader, it could exist in LE3 someday Quote Stop toying and make games Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
