AggrorJorn
My project runs on C++ meaning that I am using 3.0 mostly. Once 3.1 for C++ is official I will stop using 3.0. However I have been using 3.1 Lua edition for tutorials and converting old lua projects.
YouGroove
3.1 and lua only (even if i prefer lightmapping of 3.0, but 3.0 darkness small demo was not blowing mind in terms fo frame rate also) Quote Stop toying and make games
Marcus
I'm considering going back to 2.x with the performance of 3.1.
cassius
I am using 3.0 but am thinking of going back to 2.5 until 3.1 is matured and has water tree distribution and better performance. EDIT: but I might change my mind and get 3.1 standard ths month. f13rce
Using 3.0 at the moment. Waiting for the C++ version. Quote Using Leadwerks Professional Edition (Beta), mainly using C++. gamecreator
I'm waiting for the C++ version too (prepaid January 1) but if it runs games at 5 fps then I'll stick with 2 for now. Which made me realize I'm missing some options for people who use 2 with 3.0 or 3.1 but oh well.
Einlander
I use 3.1 because c++ is not my specialty. At my skill level I'm not doing too much that will tax the engines capabilities. I just need some lighting and the ability to push polygons, no shaders so far. I do have 3.0 if I really need the extra control.
xtreampb
I am a bit dissapointed in the physics performance of 3.0. I'm waiting for 3.1 standard to drop and i'll try that. If performance hasn't increased then i'll go back to 2.5 and test each revision of 3.1 until hopfully it is up to par. gamecreator
Josh seemed to quickly make a lot of progress with some graphics optimizations recently. http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/8857-leadwerks-31-framerate-low/page__st__20#entry68531 I'm hoping the same will be the case for physics at some point soon. SlipperyBrick
I use the Steam Edition and I love it! Can't wait for upgrade paths to be available for Steam users, I'll be upgrading for sure!
YouGroove
@gamecreator : Yes this is great news, unfortunatelty physics can't be optimized a lot more as this Newton 3 engine. Only way would be like for Neosis GUI and have some extern other 3D engine Api integration . Perhaps im' wrong. gamecreator
I didn't want this thread to keep popping up and I don't know how to close it so I'll remove the poll question. But the answers were as follows: What Version of Leadwerks Do You Use? I only use Leadwerks 3.1 (52 votes [72.22%]) I use 3.0 for Android, iOS or because I didn't upgrade (4 votes [5.56%]) Both 3.0 and 3.1 (3 votes [4.17%]) I still only use Leadwerks 2 (13 votes [18.06%])
