Marcus
Is it not possible to delete CSG brush faces like in 3D World Studio? I hate to render six faces when I only need to use one of those.
Rick
I noticed this too. I was trying to get a top/down view of a house and I wanted to leave the ceiling from the inside there to trap in the lighting, but remove the top part so the player could peak in. I did this before by deleting faces in 3D World studio. Would be nice to have this.
Einlander
Can't you use the face select in the editor and apply an invisible material to the face you want to delete?
Marcus
Can't you use the face select in the editor and apply an invisible material to the face you want to delete? I would guess that would be even more expensive than rendering the face.
beo6
There is a material named Caulk. Paint that on the faces that should not be rendered.
Marcus
There is a material named Caulk. Paint that on the faces that should not be rendered. Thanks! Do you know if there is still overhead for using it though?
beo6
According to Josh that material removes the faces when collapsing the BSP brushes on load. So there should be no overhead.
