Guest heyjeebus
I was about to buy the engine when I noticed Leadwerks uses Google Checkout for e-commerce, who are known for not accepting Maestro cards. I have 3 cards and all of them are Maestro and I don't intend on getting a credit card so I won't be able to get the engine until Leadwerks changes or create another e-shop. I would like to ask, is it possible to switch to a new (and better) ecommerce provider like Plimus or just create a Plimus account so that Maestro users can buy the engine though there ? Mumbles
I believe that TGC support Maestro cards. http://leadwerks.thegamecreators.com/show_basket.php If they do, then support is just the same as if you purchased the engine here, but you have to manually request forum access. TGC provide you your registration code if you buy through them, but they cannot give the SDK 2.3 owner status for this forum, so it could take up to 24 hours longer to get up and running Quote LE Version: 2.50 (Eventually)

Guest heyjeebus
Paypal asks for a security code I don't have in any of my cards which leads me to think they might not support Maestro. I tried through thegamecreators's page but aparently they only accept Pounds if I use a Maestro card.
Marleys Ghost
Is it a 3 digit code its asking for ? Mumbles
On the Game Creators page. In step one of the basket, you should be able to change your currency. Only a small list available, Pounds, Euros, and US Dollars (I'm presuming dollars are the one you'll want). As my order was done with a standard credit card, I don't know if Maestro would work in dollars or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't. ...But yes, for paypal, the security code it's asking for is probably the 3 digit code on the back of your card, or it might be the 4 digit one (As with American Express cards) Quote LE Version: 2.50 (Eventually)
Guest heyjeebus
Marleys ghost: Yes, that's that one. Mumbles: I tried that but it says they only accept pounds when using a Maestro card for the transfer which doesn't make much sense but oh well... Marleys Ghost
Marleys ghost: Yes, that's that one. Then it should be the 3 digit number on the sig strip. Guest heyjeebus
The problem is Maestro cards don't have any number near or on the signature strip, hence my suspicion that paypal may not accept Maestro cards. I'll send them an email.

beo6
I live in Germany and the Bank-Cards here (as far as i know) have also a Function to load Money onto the Card (they can be used for example to buy Train-Tickets). This Cards have a Logo of "Maestro" on it. But they do not have any security Code so they can not be used for most of the Services that needs a Credit Card. Maybe there are different Maestro-Cards depending on Country/Bank?

Maybe there are different Maestro-Cards depending on Country/Bank? There is a difference between the Red Maestro cards and the Blue Maestro cards, one being that security code, if I recall correctly. And for anyone unaware, I believe Maestro is a Mastercard subsidiary for non-US countries?
