window textures

I have been designing medieval houses for my level and had problems with window textures.If you look through a window from the inside it looks much brighter than from the outside because light is dimmer inside a building.

I have tried having two versions of a window texture, one for inside and one for outside, but its a lot of messing about.

 

Any tips on wndow design?

amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10

Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++

Make window with two textures : one outside, same inside but darker

Or change texture/material color to darker when you are inside buidling

Strange as shadows and light inside buiding should make it ok ?

 

Do you use 3.0 or 3.1 ?
