Leijonberg
Hi, I get the "Failed to initialize graphics" message when starting Leadwerks on my Linux machine. I have an NVidia GT 630 card, which supports OpenGL 4. NVidia driver 331.49 with OpenGL 4.4 installed. Have I missed something? I do have a built-in graphics chip as well, but that's not active afaik...

YouGroove
I do have a built-in graphics chip as well, but that's not active afaik... This must be the problem, perhaps running LE3 will change behind the wood and run on the other chip. Some Radeon have a specific panel to choose what chip to run with what application to avoid such problems. You could search on internet perhaps ... Leijonberg
The built-in is an Intel HD Graphics 2500. Linux does not list that chip on lspci... So I guess it's not even recognized. My NVidia card is the active card when I check with lspci (has the [VGA controller] entry). Also when I check with NVidia X Server config tool, my NVidia card is controlling the X screen. I honestly don't think Leadwerks is switching graphics cards by itself.

Roland
Note sure if this has anything to do with it, but have you executed this? http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/9231-installation-script-for-ubuntu-1310/ I have a GTX560 and is running Ubuntu 13.10 without problems. Don't know if the drivers are the same for our cards though. Quote Roland Strålberg Website: https://rstralberg.com
Leijonberg
So, I got this message when I tried running Leadwerks from command line: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "unity-gtk-module" libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details. Josh
During development something I experienced was an Intel chip interfering with detection of Nvidia drivers. This could be related. However, this appears to me to be beyond the bounds of what I can solve through software, since the driver isn't even being loaded. At this time, I can't accept a bug report like this from Ubuntu 13.10, so this is being moved. Leijonberg
Found what the problem was, and it was indeed not a bug. Installing NVidia drivers downloaded from the NVidia website doesn't really work. OpenGL libraries get overrided by mesa drivers I think, not sure about that though... What helped was this. Thanks for answering, and special thanks to Josh for porting! Nice // Daniel
