FluffGlitter
Hi, Is the fbx import tool (fbx2mdl) meant to be able to import .fbx files with multiple animations in them? I bought some art assets from arteria3d, and this is one of the formats that they provide. When I convert the file, it only contains the first animation. Thankfully they also provide a version with all animations in one file, so I can go through and extract the animations to separate sequences, but it is an extra step that adds time to asset management. If this is a known lacking feature, are there any plans to add support for multi-track .fbx files in future?
AggrorJorn
Multiple animations per model import are supported as of 3.0. Look at the barbarian or crawler model and you will see mutliple animations.
Josh
I actually don't know how the converter handles multiple animations in the file. That would certainly be easier than loading them as separate files. Brad would know this. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Josh
We're adding support for this. Thank you. I did not even know the FBX format supported this. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
